Some years ago my partner Barry and I were busy bringing up our four children, working hard to make ends meet all the while building our family business and not really giving a lot of thought to our long term future.
When it came to building our financial independence we knew superannuation or shares weren’t the answer and we believed it was a good idea to invest in property but didn’t know how or why.
One day a friend visited and showed us a newsletter they had been receiving from a property investing club called ‘The Investors Club’. Out of interest I went along to one of the workshops and was shocked and surprised to find the solution to financial security was so easy. The information I heard made complete sense, it was new to me and this seemed odd since I had worked for a bank and a real estate agent and hadn’t heard it before.
In fact we loved the concept of ‘people helping people’ so much that we joined The Investors Club as Support Members and are now also Team Leaders, helping other Support Members teach their members how to create wealth through property. We started off with one home worth $300,000.00 and now have three properties worth over 1.4million dollars just six years later.
It scares me to think back now because we are self employed and we didn’t have a long term plan and now we know exactly what we are doing and how we are doing it. Our future is secure.
